Christian Bruegger brings extensive international experience spanning entrepreneurship, banking, and professional leadership across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and LATAM. With a deep network across these regions, he offers practical, operator-level insight into the cultural dynamics, regulatory complexity, and operational challenges companies face when entering and scaling in new markets. Christian spent more than 12 years in banking and hedge funds before turning to entrepreneurship. At Wachovia Capital Markets (now Wells Fargo), he built the infrastructure for agency trades and soft-dollar management, creating a new business line that generated more than $25 million in annual revenue, and oversaw operations for equity derivatives and futures products representing $975 billion in notional value and 35% of the firm's total trades. He later relocated to Miami to build trading operations and risk management for a $300 million emerging markets portfolio at Stark Investments. In 2010, he began his entrepreneurial journey by acquiring a transportation company, growing revenue 180% in four years and selling at a 110% return. He went on to co-found an IoT connectivity and cybersecurity startup across the U.S. and Brazilian markets after securing a $10 million investment. Christian attended the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and graduated with a degree in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, minoring in Management and Information Systems. He is proficient in five languages, Portuguese, Spanish, German, French, and English, and served in the Swiss Military's Mountain Corps. As Managing Director, LATAM and Dubai, Christian draws on his global upbringing, entrepreneurial track record, and deep regional relationships to lead business development and expansion for Barramundi, connecting the firm with investors and partners across its key international markets. Based in South Florida, he lives with his wife and daughter. Outside the office, he enjoys mountain biking the Everglades levees, time at the beach with his daughter, and following his favorite soccer team, Flamengo.
