Meghan McGowan is the Founder and CEO of Barramundi, the private markets and pre-IPO investment advisory firm she has led from its origins as IDFund (2024 to 2026) through its evolution into Barramundi today. She built the firm on a conviction that has defined her career: partnership is not a soft value but a competitive advantage, and the strongest returns come from investing in a way that is human-centric, relationship-led, and built to last. Under her leadership, Barramundi has grown to more than $1.3 billion in assets under management, with positions in companies defining the next economic era, including AI infrastructure, defense technology, data and digital finance. Along with other category defining companies. Meghan brings a distinctive investment background spanning both traditional financial markets and alternative assets, including deep experience building personalized portfolios in rare and auctioned collectibles such as vintage wines. That breadth gave her an early and unconventional perspective on what investors actually want: not just access, but access paired with connection, intention, and trust. It is the perspective that shaped Barramundi's mission from the start. Before founding the firm, Meghan co-founded QJC Capital, a boutique firm specializing in private equity investments in late-stage private companies, this experience became the blueprint for what is now Barramundi. Her command of the firm's inner workings first established her as Chief Brand Officer, where she set the creative direction and executed the brand's global expression across unified teams and messaging. This propelled her into the role of CEO of IDFund and now Founder of Barramundi. As Founder and CEO, Meghan sets Barramundi's strategic direction and positioning, ensuring every decision is values-based, mission-driven, and purpose-led. Her leadership is grounded in the power of human-centered systems and the first principles of partnership upon which the firm is built. She is honored to lead Barramundi and its talented team in carrying forward a commitment to building a community where investment opportunities are as meaningful as they are rewarding. Meghan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She lives in Boca Raton, Florida with her husband, and their four children: three pursuing careers in medicine, the arts, and AI entrepreneurship, and the youngest currently in college. Outside the office, the McGowan family enjoys golf, skiing, pickleball, time outdoors, and traveling together both domestically and internationally.
